Famous for her Lollipop Chainsaw, Jessica Nigri is a fan favorite and a Legend amongst those in the gaming industry. Jessica is unofficial “Queen of Cosplay” to fans. They are many types of Cosplayers and they are not to be confused with “Booth Babes” to fans.
A Booth Babe is a paid spokesperson by the company to be like a Nerded-up Vanna White type spokesperson who is there to look ornamental and move product. Companies bank on the fact that the hot babes in video games are pretty much the latest interaction a gamer may have with a “10.” The profile of the gamer is a 25-35 year old white man who is married or it may smack of stereotype, but the typical thought of a gamer is “in college by day, parents house by night.” In other words, busy and not a lot of time to hit social hot spots like a polished playa- and be successful. So Booth babes are appealing- and not a new trend- every cheerleader and model are there to move a product.
A Cosplayer is one who makes costuming an art. They step in persona and become the character and adopt the mannerisms and it is a live action role-play (LARP). Many dress to go to cons and have their 15 minutes as the masses stop and take pictures and pose with well done costumes, or just memorable ones, just like the treatment of celebrities on the red carpet. In fact, many conventions have a photo-op red carpet or masquerade with a photo stretch. Dragoncon in August is famed for its city parades of fans in the streets of Atlanta: Stormtroopers, Superheroes, Klingons, and Mandalorians as far as the eye can see.
Jessica Nigri surpasses both titles and is a household name for her cosplay as the face of Lollipop Chainsaw. Even run-ins with conventions heads for being too sexy have not dimmed her appeal. The infamous PAX East 2012 incident when it gave the boot to Booth babes, CosPlayers and old magicians alike earlier this year. One plus to the long lines, inflated prices, and swarms of sandaled gamers has always been the allure of the Booth babes at conventions like Pax East, Comic-Con and E3. To get a “hug and mug” momento shot for the camera to save for a warm and fuzzy screensaver later was always a bonus to help the hurt when the credit cards bills started coming in.
“PAX East 2012 had decided to cull some of the pleasure this past week and ask some of the more revealing exhibitors to change or pack it up. Clad in a long sleeved pink catsuit spokes-model Lollipop Chainsaw Jessica Nigri was asked to change as the plunging neckline of her CosPlay costume was being reported as offensive by the family con goers. Suda51 posted in his Twitter feed the pink horror.
She changed into her Juliet Starling clothing and was warned again to change or leave, as PAX East 2012 still was miffed at the mad sexiness.”
Jessica has many characters she is known for, including her Pikachu being the most passed around Pokemon on the internet! Final Fantasy, Little Red Riding Hood, Skyrim,Pokemon, and quite a few more on her She definitely earns her crown in being the “Queen of Cosplay!”

Of course they said to her to change! That chainsaw is SO offensive to the minds of respectable people, right…?
The hypocrisy of American society (not in general, but definitely in sexual matters) never ceases to amaze my European mind…
God save us of children seeing their father admiring a beautiful female body whom doesn’t belongs to their mommy!!!!!
