Despite the perhaps deliberately simplistic title, Indie Game: The Movie explores the agonizing, dramatic, and fulfilling lifestyle of several indie game developers. The movie interviews some of the more well-known indie devs, including Braid’s Johnathan Blow, and attempts to elucidate the masses on the tense process involved when betting it all on a game idea.

Originally a Kickstarter project, Indie Game: The Movie received well over the required amount of funding for its goal, and subsequently began production almost immediately. Releasing to the public on June 14, 2012 worldwide, Indie Game: The Movie looks set to shed some additional light on the nebulous career of an indie developer.
