It was the shock heard around the gaming world. After 11 long years of broken promises, misguided hype and constant retooling, the Diablo III release date was finally revealed to be May 15th, 2012 . To coincide with the release will be a series of launch events designed to pay fan-service to hungry gamers eager to revisit the world of Sanctuary.

From Taiwan to the United States, anxious gamers will be invited to partake in what amounts to one of the biggest global gaming events in history. Blizzard representatives will be on hand to speak with fans and sign copies of the game. Announced giveaways will run the gamut from exclusive in-game items to costly electronics.
