Those hoping to fire up Max Payne 3 on their trusty old PC might want to consider running down to their local computer vendor and picking up a few new parts. The upcoming blockbuster from Rockstar will require a minimum Inter Dual Core 2.4 GHZ or AMD Dual Core 2.6 GHZ processor and a whopping 35 gigs of available hard drive space. Graphical requirements are fairly par for the course, but do not expect to run Max Payne 3 on max without a beast like the recently released GeForce GTX 680 2GB.

Given Rockstar’s near obsession with cutting edge graphics and pinpoint realism, do the rather daunting system requirements come as any surprise?
