So, recon is pretty fun It definitely begins to be great fun when you get M98B rifle. The second my most favorite class to play is Support.

But still I end up with Recon one way or another.  Of course it is better to play according to current situation. The Recon class just seems so versatile to me, you have very solid short and medium distance weapons. Plus as a bonus you have totally ownage type long distance weapons.

As an additional bonus you can take out people oneshot not only with headshot but also with upper bodyshot. Of course there will be situations in your life when you will think to yourself “Oh … I would be so much better with Assault here”. To me this situation happens when i somehow run into group of enemies from behind… and as I am “trigger happy” i do not take them one by one, breathing calmly like a true sniper… I go more like “OHHH MY GOOD OHH MY GOOODDD SHOOT SHOOT FASTER DAMN IT, SWITCH TO PISTOL YEES OF COURSE I WILL BE ABLE TO TAKE OUT THE SUPPORT GUY WITH MY M9″ in most situations like this I just get killed pretty quickly getting no kills as exchange.

I also do not like the ballistic recon play – where you sit not on other side of the map… but on freaking different server… different game… faaar faaar away from the BF trying to take out those lousy few campers/snipers on hills, round the corners and such – boooring.

Best way for me is Rifle 8x scope, and close to action, yes i do get killed pretty lot my K/D was 0.836 (when i ve started playing recon it decreased really lot, when I was playing Assault i was around 1.652) but i ve managed to improve it to 0.844 now… yes I am becoming a smart Recon.

The funny thing is – couple of times I ve stumbled across servers where like the whole team were snipers… so you would assume that everybody would have spawn points and beacons out… well… no. Everybody just standing at nice beautiful groups ON the hills… getting wiped out by enemy team. I think that some people when starting to play Recon think that they are soo invisible (i ve though so myself) but they will get over it when they will have 3/35 endgame score. I know what it is also like from the other side… As a recon you move quickly to strategic location where the team is pushing … put a spawn there (IN COVERED PLACE… not IN THE MIDDLE OF FUCKING FIELD)  then you scope a little bit and go like “Heey that hill seems to be a pretty popular place for the Recons” you go slightly around it to the side… and then do like 3 – 4 kills in a row… and in case you dont get too greedy you will even be able to escape as most of the people will be scoped in to the side opposite to yours.

Sidenote – I know that ress gives you 100 points (yay) but how much of an Leerrroy Jenkins you have to be to ress someone in the middle of firelane? If you wanna be a war hero, ok no problem – look from which side the fire is comming, kill the bastard and them ress me…

Again I love this from the other side – you kill someone… another comes to help, you kill him too… then… wair for it… wait for it… another one runs in to ress them both… fantastic. Hide/Wait/Reload/Repeat.

Also - patience is the primary skills for recon… if you we hit a camper, but didnt kill him… wait… as he will think that when his little helmet will pop out of the corner you will not be looking… poor poor him.

On the other side just to compelte the picture – I was able to do around 3x the Recon kills when playing Assault… even though I am playing Recon for some time now… my Assault weapon remains as my top kill weapon.
