So yesterday i ve managed to finish Skyrim. By Finish i mean that i ve completed all the main quests and coule of side quests.

In case someone will start bitching – “Oh, but you did not finish if you have not unlocked all the achievements, and did all the side q”. Well in case you feel like completing “collect 100 flowers, pickpocket 50 people” type of achievements and “get this, bring there thingy” kind of quest. Well then you are probably right.

I ve pulled 80 hours into Skyrim and feel like that is enough. As i was previously telling I was playing a full assasin always Master difficulty (end level 39, 100 sneaking, 100 smithing, 80 Archery, 78, One Hand) With this stats… without using any enchantements, mods etc – i was able to finish the game with no problem. I did not invested a point into Healths so My Health and Mana was 100 for the whole game, and Stamina around 400.

Continuing on the playstyle – I am able to one-shot a dragon, I ve acctualy made an experiment and was able to kill Paarthurax (or what is his name) by one backstab. Anything else that i meet – i can not be seen, in case I can (daylight… or just hard terrain) I have a invis from Nightingale and couple of Invis potions. So No i can not be detected. In case I am too lazy to go for a backstab I sneak shoot a bow 3x damage, mostly one shot kill. And that having in mind that I did not have maxed out critical bow strike and 15% paralysis perk.

Still I must admit I ve missed playing a mage. In every situation i ve been i had to be hidden, silent and take of one by one all the things inside – though quite easily after level 30. While when you are  a mage you just run inside and cause fuckapocalypse. Though as mage in later game you are able to summon 2x Dremoras and they clean out everything for you. Also in destruction tree you are able to stagger the oponent… so once for example a dragon is on the ground… its done.

Graphics – as per my previous posts – awesome, I ve played on ultra. Do not understand why people or crazy about some missing pixels etc… as i ve mentioned – remember text adventures.

Sound – yep – also awesome.

Now to the most important - story-line. To be short - dissapointed.  No “epicness” that I ve expected. I find Imperial vs Stormcloak story-line more interesting the Dragonborn … not mentioned that DragonBorn quest line was VERY short..? I mean i got it done in like 30 – 40 minutes. I didnt even feel that I am doing something important. If I compare this to Mass Effect 2 (though play was very repetitive - get new member/complete his quest/repeat) – in the end I was like.. Wow… I did it… sad that I ve lost one member… but Yes i finished. Keeping in mind that the presure on the game difficulty was during WHOLE game not just first 15 levels.  While in Skyrim…  i did not even noticed that something major happened. No real bond to character… no real bond to NPCs… no real bond to story.

Still i ve enjoyed Skyrim very much. Not sure about Amalur – should I ? Should I not?

Bethesda should quickly steal couple of producers from BioWare…

  1. You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation but I find this matter to be actually one thing that I believe I would by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very huge for me. I am having a look forward for your next put up, I’ll attempt to get the hang of it!
